Stars Shine Recap
25 December 2004
Sorry for the delayed post of this news, but I've been in London for the past week (three days after this event!). Mr. Rickman spent the night of December 13th in St. John's Square participating in the annual Stars Shine for Autism Christmas concert. A number of Alan Rickman fans had the enviable chance to see the event first hand, you can read some of their accounts, as well as see their photos at both [TARF] and [The Alan Rickman Guestbook]. [The Alan Rickman Download Haven] also has an audio clip of Alan reading available to download.
Half-Blood Prince Summer Release
25 December 2004
JK Rowling has chosen July 16, 2005 for the release date of the sixth book in the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Amazon has the book avaiable for pre-order [here]. Let's hope that this book follows in past trends by featuring more Snape than in the previous book, exluding, of course, the death of said greasy git.
My Name Is Alan Rickman
09 December 2004
Mr. Rickman is back in the director's chair for a play this spring at the Royal Court Theatre. He will be directing, and collaborating on the script for, My Name Is Rachel Corrie, based on the story of Rachel Corrie who was killed last year by an Israeli bulldozer when trying to protect a Palestinian house. The show is set to begin sometime in April. To read more about this story, as well as some quotes from Rickman himself, [click here]. [TARF]
