In Defense of Dogma
25 Jan 2004
I know this really isn't new news, but some people have been wondering about the documentary that was done on Kevin Smith's Dogma (Judge Not: In Defense of Dogma). Well, it's an extra on another (and not as good) movie, on which Kevin Smith was the executive producer, called Vulgar. You can get it at [Amazon] for a sort of reasonable price. I don't know if anyone else carries it as it was not widely released.

PoA To Be Shortest So Far
21 Jan 2004
According to a recent interview with Alfonso Cuaron, Prisoner of Azkaban is expected to come in at just under 2 1/2 hours. Cuaron tries (in vain) to alleviate fans' worries by explaining, "I'm sure that somebody is going to miss something very specific that was ingrained in his or her mind when they read the book. But I think fans are going to love the movie". All I know is that I'm going to pitch a fit if the "give me a reason" line was not kept in! [Yahoo! News]

12 Jan 2004
Oh man, I love cheesy news headlines. Anyhow, while all you normal people went about making resolutions to be better people, Alan was making one of his own.

"Mine is to take more time out from acting to indulge in my true passion in life - rollercoasters. I absolutely love them, they are pure adrenalin and sensation," says the Harry Potter star, 57. "Every rational thought and all your worldly cares disappear for three minutes. I can't be bothered with this Hollywood obsession with 'the couch.' - rollercoasters are my personal therapy." |
Thanks to [rickman-fan.com] for the quote!

Matthew Lewis Chat
05 Jan 2004
In a chat with the visitors from [Mugglenet], Matthew Lewis, better known as Neville Longbottom, lets us in on some funny moments as well as the privileges of being in the Harry Potter movies.
Q: What's the most exciting part about working on the Harry Potter films?
A:Probably being able to say that I have worked with people like Alan Rickman, Kenneth Brannagh and Dame Maggie Smith, etc.
Q: What was it like filming the Boggart scene in POA? Was it funny seeing Alan Rickman dressed in those clothes?
A: You can't imagine how funny it was. Alan Rickman is a really, really nice guy but he's still really, really scary so to see him dressed like that was hilarious. |
