Support Severus Snape
19 July 2005
For those of you who have already completed Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, I'm sure you sympathize with my cause. If you are like me, then you've got some theories as to what actually went on in Half-Blood Prince and most of those theories are probably various explanations as to why Snape is not half as bad as you might think he is. While this cause may turn out to be as useless as the Sirius Is Not Dead Brigade, I'd still like to lend my support while it matters. [Click here] to show your support for Severus Snape.
Holy Crap!
17 July 2005
It is now 3:53 am EST and I am harboring very ill will towards a certain author. Here is, in short order, every "holy crap" experience I've had over the past 8 hours of reading this book.
Holy Crap Moment #1: A whole chapter featuring a non-Harry perspective Snape! Holy crap!
Holy Crap Moment #2: Unbreakable Vow? Must die if not accomplished? Holy crap!
Holy Crap Moment #3: Oh my (cover my mouth) God! She's given him the DADA position! Holy crap!
Holy Crap Moment #4: Oh...my..."with a loving caress in his voice"? I'm not going to share my reaction to that line.
Holy Crap Moment #5: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! All my dreams of my formerly bad but reformed, yet still rather snarky, Potions master have gone down the drain! HOLY CRAP!
Holy Crap Moment #6: You're kidding me! The Half-Blood Prince?! The Head of Slytherin is a half-blood! How did I not see this coming?!
Holy Crap Moment #7: Damnit, I'm going to have to completely rewrite my entire character analysis on my website. Son of a bitch. |
But I leave you Snape-lovers-despite-the-torment-Rowling-has-thrown-at-us with a little thought; was Snape the ever-loyal Death Eater or was he simply saving his hide? Remember, if Draco didn't accomplish his task, Snape would have to do it or die. What would have happened if he had not made the Unbreakable Vow to Narcissa?
The Final Countdown
10 July 2005
It has been far too long since my last news update, but I've been very busy trying to get [Rickman-Online.net] live before the release date of the new book so as to have more time to devote to this site. Well, I've achieved said goal, so here's my update. As we all know, there is some very important Snape-related information contained in the soon-to-be released Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Thankfully, we are the last week of anticipation before the novel is unleashed upon the general public, the 16th of July to be exact. Remember, if you've not put your own copy on hold at your local book store you may want to do so or, if you're lazy like me, head on over to [Amazon.com] and order your copy for release date delivery.
If you attend a release party the night of the release, please send in your thoughts and photos of the experience!
